Willem-Jan Laan
Willem-Jan is director Global External Affairs at Unilever in Rotterdam. Her represents the company in external associations like FoodDrinkEurope and BUSINESSEUROPE in Brussels on the areas of agricultural policy, trade policy, biotechnology, sustainable agriculture and renewable energy. Current positions incluse chairman of the Committee of Multilateral Trade Policy at VNO-NCW in The Hage, chairman of the WTO Agriculture Working Group of BUSINESSEUROPE and board member of the International Food & Agricultural Trade Policy Council.
Willem-Jan joined Unilever in 1995 as agricultural economic advisor. Before that, he headed the Trade Policy division of the Netherlands Ministry of Agriculture.
